The Home Builders Association of Southwest Missouri is comprised of professionals, homebuilders and remodelers. They are the people you should consider when buying a new home or renovating your present home. Associate members include vendors to the homebuilding industry, such as companies that provide roofing, siding, windows, doors, garage doors, concrete and services like banks and realtors. 1. Builders must carry workers compensation insurance. 2. Members must carry liability insurance. 3. Members have been prescreened. 4. Members agree to abide by a code of ethics. 5. Members have access to a guide of Industry Standards for Residential Construction, expectations outline for consistent professional conduct. 6. Prospective members are given recommendations by clients and other members. 7. Members sign an affidavit agreeing to abide by the stringent rules of professional standards. 8. Members also belong to the National Association of Home Builders.
